Napalm works but it is a little messy. I have had the same problem around standby generators. I had to put bait around the genset and in the control box. But most of the stuff I used was really nasty. I have heard that orange peels will drive them out. Don.t know if it will work. You might ask the local feed store what they have. That would be safe around kids and pets
