I have not been on here much the last week or so. My oldest grand son was injured in an ambush attack in Afghanistan two weeks ago. He is a West Point Grad and then completed Ranger training, active duty now for six years. He volunteered for active combat duty. His unit lost six of the ten men in it. He was shot five times and had a severe concussion. My wife, son and DIL flew to Germany to see him in the hospital. He is now being transfered back to a state side hospital. The wife got home last night. She says he will have a complete recovery. My mind has been in many other places the last several days. I hope my telling about my service did not glorify things for him. If you chose to serve this great country my thoughts and prayers will always be with you.
