Kruse, My son and I both have Maytag refrigerators. We both had problems with the defrost board not doing its job. We both found the parts online and saved some dough repairing it ourselves but the aggravation of having that problem will probably sway our next purchase. I can't remember for sure but I think that a small relay on the board caused the problem as the contacts could not take the current that they had to handle. So by saving a few cents on inadequate part they caused a lot of problems for the people with these refrigerators and spoiled their reputation. I have an old Maytag dish washer that has performed flawlessly but don't really know what to buy when I upgrade.
