Sounds to me like he sees more future with the new job, but still needs the money from the old one. My last job(12 years ago) I got paid $9 per hour and worked 50 to 55 hours per week as a young single guy, but quit to take a job at $7 per hour and only 40 hours per week. It SUCKED for the first few years, but now make up for the lost wages and make a decent living. Gonna try it again I think so I remember how bad a pay cut hurts!
