Does anyone know current prices for scrap iron in central MN or WI?
I'm in south Mississippi and will be traveling that way in the next week or two to pick up a couple of tractors I've bought. With good scrap prices, I've been hauling off a bunch of junk from around the farm to local scrap dealers. As always, you hear rumors of how much higher the prices are somewhere else.
If there is any truth to the stories, would it be worth my time and fuel to take a load with me when I go?
The prices here today are $12 per hundred pounds for unprepared materials (big stuff) and $14.50 for prepared (2' x 5' by 1/4" max).
