Try and fix or buy new? That's my question. Wife's refrigerator is 13 years old, and it continually drips water into the refrigerator and freezer on a daily basis to the point where we have to take the items out and wipe down the shelves each day. Pools of water on the shelves, also the freezer will almost doesn't keep items frozen. We've tried cleaning around the compressor and motor area, but it doesn't make any difference. Is a 13 year old refrigerator worth taking to a repair shop or bite the bullet and buy new? I'm gun shy because last year the dryer was acting up and we paid $175 to have it serviced only to have it die the next week and we had to replace it with a new one any way.
