lol, Roxy doesn't yelp. She barks like a German Shepard and snarls like Doeberman when she's onto a rodent. Another neighbor just got some Japanese terrior, its yelp makes you want to pull your hair out.
BTW, we got a Schnauzer because my wife is allergic and this breed has hair as opposed to fur.
My oldest son who has Aspergers wanted a dog and we resisted for a very long time. Now it turns out her barking is irritating to him to the point he is willing to let her go.
If it was up to me, we would have gotten a nice Tri-Color collie. Then again, the deer ticks around here are brutal. Just pulled one off the 9yr olds neck last nite. That is why i prefer the winter. No ticks, no carpenter ants, no skeeters or black flies. Pete
