Just did some checking. Only answer i can figure is that surveys taken at different times had different base lines. Grew up in Jay Twp, Martin Co, Mn. Remember clearly it shown as T 102N, R 33W. Now live in Chengwatonna Twp, Pine Co, Mn. Plat shows it as T 39N, R21W. Have to look at Randy McNally to visualize locations. The Range West seems to fit close, but Twp North doesn't.
