You're right, we can't be dissuaded by their persistent fund raising efforts although I have to admit that I too had not renewed my annual membership right away a few times out of frustration because of their efforts. I've even complained many times on the phone and a few times in writing but the bottom line is that even if the NRA wastes some of our money that we contribute on more fundraising or administrative costs, that no one else is fighting to protect our 2nd amendment rights as diligently or effectively as they are.
Here is an interesting link where $125 would have purchased a 5 year membership, I too wonder how it cost $150 for 2 years.
