Had a half dozen geese when I was around eight or ten years old. Don't know what for though. Been bit a few times by them. Never new when they might come flying at you and hissing. Maybe it was a decoy for the Manorman when he brought bread. Mon always got a few loaves of fresh bread and about four loaves of day old bread for the geese. Ate a lot of day old bread when I was a kid. Eight in the household and two loaves?
