most regulars on these forums know im no fan of modern high tech trucks, i like them simple and tough, today i finally got one ive been after for 10 years, i needed a 4x4 truck for farm use and occasional trips to town or work, my good friend has a 1980 1 ton he bought in nov-'79 new, he hasnt run it 500 miles in 5 years and i wanted it, today i got it, truck has 50,000 miles from new i know its right as ive been around it all its life, body is arrow straight no rust spots, heavy duty front drive axle, dually rear end 4;56 gears 4 speed, iron gear boxes, has a 12,000lb pto driven winch in the flatbed with gin poles and snach blocks ect the seat isnt even torn engine is a 454, she aint fast, but she is strong, paid a lot for it but i figure i got a lot of truck too , dont think i'll ever find another like it
