The carrier and Rheem systems are probably the top of the line units but a lot of the parts in both come from the same place so probably not much difference in them. I payed around $4800 for a 3 ton unit for my mobile home and about 2 years later my mom got one and payed about $800 more for the same brand unit. So the longer you wait the more it is going to cost you. I know a lot of parts for them are made right here in my town by Modine
