I run Windows XP and over a period of a few weeks it gets slower and slower (I have run Spybot and AdAware with out much benefit). Then one day I get a message that my virtual memory is low and the computer is going to fix it. It takes a few minutes and then the improvement is dramatic. It runs faster and more like it used to. Is there a way to make this happen without waiting for my OS to decide to do it?
