I got high speed over the air through a router two days ago. The wife called the dialup server and told them to shut us off. Done. I unplugged the telephone wire and took the icon off the screen. Desktop computer by the way,or tower,whatever you call it.
Now a question. Will there be any advantage AT ALL to taking the side off and unhooking the dialup modem altogether or is it just something that lays there like a brick unless it's actually connected to the internet? Will it make the computer any faster,run any cooler,anything? And if I do unhook it,is there any software that needs to be uninstalled or anything?
