Best idea when you see a piece of junk like that is to not even make an offer on it. It happens all the time, sellers will try to sell junk no matter what the condition. I don't even give them the benifit of an offer, I just say well, thats not exactly what I had in mind, thanks for your time. I just figure there's no need in even taking a chance on giving a slap in the face offer to guys like that when the equipment wasn't worth advertising in the first place. No matter what offer he took would have been too high because it would take more effort to move it than the scrap price was even worth.
