I agree! Shorts are for little kids, or Macho-men, who have the body of an adonis! As for me--my legs don't match-been that way since i lost the left one somewhere in France, in WW II. People tend to stare, point fingers, and ask stupid questions, so, no shorts for me. And, i live 12 miles north of downtown Pittsburgh, Pa. and the sun has gone "in", and i'm not going out until after lunch. The ice and snow still out there, are danged slippy and i'm not taking a chance on falling! At 86+, anything can happen. Tractors can wait. One time, i went camping with a bunch of friends, and it was hot, so i put on shorts, and stepped out. One guy whom i had seen before, asked me what happened to my leg. I just said:"Oh, is that thing gone again?"
