Just went through this; have had a home network for several years; router quit working, so I bought a new one; it didn't work either, so it's obviously something else. I fooled with the whole system for weeks, checking connections, reintsalling drivers, etc. Finally bought another new router; DUH......the 1st NEW router was bad.
