Where are you located at??? If it is real cold you might have several different things wrong. 1) Your pickup tube might have ice in it. Some of these smaller tractors get condensation in the transmission cases. I own one, it never sets out side but each spring I get a quart or two of water out of it. 2) The cold makes steel contract. I have seen leaks in the suction side of things that go away when warm. Check the manifold mounting bolts. They can be loose causing a leak. 3) The cold also makes orings and caskets not seal as well so you might have a suction leak. It could be in any of the joints in the suction side of the oil circuit. Cold oil is harder for the pump to pickup too.
Warm weather might fix all of the problems. I know I could use a fix of warm weather. LOL
