Daughter-in-law used to be a waitress- she said she never asked anybody if they wanted a senior discount- just gave it to them without asking if they were obvious geezers, and let the others ask for it if they wanted. Stayed out of a lot of trouble that way, she said.
Wife and I went to Denny's with a very young looking female friend, on the morning of her 55th birthday. We all ordered off the senior menu- they didn't blink an eye with me, asked my wife how old she was and took her word for it, and carded our friend.
