Guess I'm officially old

Went to Burger King yesterday for a noon snack- the total sounded a bit low, but paid and sat down. Took a look at the reciept "senior Coke .60". I guess I looked old to the youngster behind the counter (I'm 52). Kinda depressing, but should have kept the reciept.

By the way, 5" on the ground, expecting 9 more, and blowing like a .....

(quoted from post at 04:09:52 02/02/11) WOW! I'm 54,what does that make me?

That makes you one year short of becoming a senior by most restaurant standards.

My hair turned gray when I was in my 40's and I have been eating senior meals ever since.

My lady friend was asked if she qualified for the senior discount at a resterant. I laughed my self silly, then I suddly realized it could get real ugly if she decided to body slam the young dude. She just turned 48, and apparently she did not loose her sence of humor on her birthday.

Hey Kevin,
Don't sound right - must be the beard!

Got 5 years on you and about the only senior discount I've gotten is to one of daughter's v'ball games. Must be my "clean" livin!

Hang on - the SNOW should be geting to you pretty soon.

..well the girl at the MCD drive through told me I qualified for seniors coffee...so I didn't argue..large coffee and large green tea for the wife is $2 instead of $2.93...I will endure the insult of being considered old for $.93 a day...

I am going to be 62 soon. Been getting a discount for several years now... must have been a rough life for me. lol

Yeah, that beard that USTA be reddish, gettin pretty white now. Don't really mind lookin my age, just not much older than.

I figure I'll be right here at home tomorrow. Wind and snow are not a good combo on my road- ain't no way I'll be able to get out. Wish I would've had time to get the heaters up in the shop- it coulda been a tractor work day!

One year older than some one 53. I'm 73 and they card me when I go to buy my Coors Lite 30 pack when in town. What's that tell you?

I'm 78 and it don't matter, some places won't give the discount unless you ask for it. I take it every chance I get.

I post on a racing website. A few years ago on my 46th b-day someone ten days older welcomed me to the "official beginning of old". As I was typing out my reply/argument I realized he was right, 46 was old. I'm 51 now. Jokingly tell everyone I'm 23. Don't know who that old man in the mirror is.

My sister and I were just talking about some old pictures of our Dad. He appeared to age allot between his late 20's and early 30's, but his appearance hardly changed from early 30's until he passed at 76.

Early in January, we stopped by the mailbox on the way back from town. I got the mail out and looked through it. There was one addressed to my wife from AARP. She turned 50 at the end of January. I just handed it to her and started laughing. I am a little younger than her, so I guess I'll get a similar letter someday.

It's a relative thing I guess. When I was 25 or 26, I was given a detail of about 20 soldiers from the basic training unit. Several of them were female and were taking a break and haveing about the same conversations guys have about the opposite group. They didn't know I was so close and the conversation turned to me. Couple of them chimed in "yea but he's so old"....... Stopped worrying about aging after that. Well, almost

Heck , I'm 60+ and still don't get it sometimes. Guess they can't see inside my joints. They'd probably give me a wheel chair.

Daughter-in-law used to be a waitress- she said she never asked anybody if they wanted a senior discount- just gave it to them without asking if they were obvious geezers, and let the others ask for it if they wanted. Stayed out of a lot of trouble that way, she said.

Wife and I went to Denny's with a very young looking female friend, on the morning of her 55th birthday. We all ordered off the senior menu- they didn't blink an eye with me, asked my wife how old she was and took her word for it, and carded our friend. Waitress laughed and said "I'd say I wish I could look as young as you at 55, but its already too late!"
