The weather guys here in Rochester NY have been hyping this storm for almost a week now. Predictions ranged from 6-12", up to 18-24".
They had everyone in a panic, and created a run on milk, eggs, flour, bread. Closed all the schools last night in anticipation... Heck, the garbage man canceled pickups for today!!!
We got 4" of gritty snow. Big freakin' deal... It's gonna be 30 this afternoon, with a little sleet and freezing rain. By then the roads will be heated up by the traffic and the salt trucks will be out.
The commute was a little slow, but I left early and beat the traffic. My two coworkers both came up with lame excuses why they couldn't come to work. They're gonna "work from home." I'm legitimately sick yet here I am...
