YIKES-we have a 1664 square foot home total electric in central kentucky and my last 2 electric bills were 164 dollars for december @ 1509 kwh & 99 dollars for November @945 kwh. My January electric bill will be about 200 dollars. We have a heat pump as well and only use the strips at 20 degrees or below. the house was built new in 2001. We keep the inside temp at 70. We do use a wood stove located in the basement for when the temps get below 20
