In SE MO, Farmington, Mo, St Francois Co. Used to be dairy country but now beef cattle. Lots of folks around here commute to St. Louis (70-90 mi)north so best crop the land produces is houses! lol :~). Lived here for 43 years but grew up in cotton country in Mo bootheel, Dunklin Co. Lots of family still there (6 ft under). Ancestor landed at Jamestown, VA in Sept 1654 and the decendants followed the migration west thru thru Cumberland gap until they got to Dunklin Co., sank up to their kneees in the swamp, and stayed. I am another old retired guy after 33 years as as Resident then Maintenace Engineer with Mo DOT. Own a 49 JD B, 49 Farmall H, 53 Cub, 53 Ferguson 30, 2001 CaseIH CX-70, 2 Mustangs, 06 Ford F-150 King Ranch, 2011 F-250 SD, 1970 Dodge D-300 w/54k original miles.
