Does you vehicles have central locks and keyless entry? If so, do they also have the antitheft system that the car will only start if you use the remote to unlock the doors?
Mine will lock and unlock on it's own randomly. Usually while driving, but locked me out several times when I jumped out with the car running.
Just a while ago on the way to work I stopped at a stoplight, remembered I had my hubs locked in and jumped out to unlock them. You guessed it, doors locked and I had a bunch of cars behind mewith the drivers making idiots of themselves. Had to stand there for 5 minutes or so until it decided to unlock itself. Just a liiiiiiitle embarrassing.... Any idea if there is a way to disable the central locks and maybe the antitheft system?
Also, my check engine light came on for awhile today and went back off. Car has been getting bad gas mileage the last few months. Which code reader do I need to get for this model (97 2.0 SOHC) and will faults show up if the light is not on?
