10 years as food service inspector, All food products have recommended SELL BY dates not expiration dates. When primal cuts of meat reach sell by date on package, they can be pulled and made into hamburger then put back on the dsplay shelf. That is why primal cuts (Steaks etc) only have to be cooked to 140 deg to kill bacteria and recumbinant meats (hamburger)have to be cooked to 165 deg. I make no statement as to ingredients in product. If you read the label of ingredients, they have to be listed by amount from most to least. i.e. Juice drink lists water first and further down the line is juice or juice from concentrate. The further down the list of ingredients, the less amount in the product. Reading labels can sometimes get scarey.
