That depends on what its for. If its a purchase and the seller accepts visa or master card they take care of the exchange rates. Last time I did it, I think they charged me 2.50 for the coversion. I've also used paypal and US Postal International money orders. For that matter, in Canada, I've also paid cash in US currency and taken Canadian currency to my bank to exchange back.
