I read of many of you guys using a 100 watt light bulb to keep your pump house from freezing. I use something that many of us have quit using for their normal use. I use a string of the old style large christmas lights. I hang the string in the pump house and plug it in just before I think the temps could get threatening. I leave them on till I remember to unplug them in the spring. If a few bulbs burn out, its still warm in there. The following fall, I replace the burned out bulbs and I am set for the next winter.
