All right all of you old guys - do you remember Sgt. Preston of the Northwest Mounted Police? He and his faithful husky name Yukon King did in all manner of bad Canadians back in the 40s and 50s.
What I remember most though, is that he was sponsored by Quaker Oats. They were offering land for sale in the Yukon. If I remember correctly, it was $1.00 for one square foot of land. You send the money, they'd send a "certificate" showing you owned land in the Yukon.
There was no way in the world I could come up with a whole dollar, so my chance to become a land baron passed right by me.
