Biggest months for farm or country houshold dispersal auctions in upstate NY are April, May, Sept, Oct, also quite a few through the summer. There are a few consignment and dealer auctions held in winter along with occaisonal equipment sales at livestock sale barns on sale day. Winter up here is way too cold, gets dark too early in afternoon and too much snow to contend with to sell anything much outside. If there isnt too much snow , either way too cold or too much mud. If you are referring to attending the Pageant of Steam in Canandaigua, it is held in the beginning of Aug.
