I was a cop for 23 years. (Louisville, Ky.) One night I heard a fire with rescue come out two beats over from mine. I decided to head that way. A rookie cop was LEAVING the scene when I arrived. I looked over and saw a fireman carrying out a little body. Then another. Then another. Needless to say I was ticked at the rookie for leaving but that is another story. I called off there and watched as a black fireman stood guard over the little boys. He wouldn't let anyone close. A female reporter showed up as did the mayor. She walked over and started asking STUPID questions, and her (and the mayor) learned what a police @zz chewing was. It's not news unless they MAKE it news. I got no use for most reporters.
