I find no time for rubberneckers . When it flooded here in 08 there thousands of them . We"re trying to sandbag or clean out flooded homes and people stop and gawk . I told several of them off at times . Two times I bit my tongue. we had been working sevearl days after water receeded ,cleaning out buddies home. Truck stopped in street , I was boiling , guy got out came over and asked if we needed anything? Water cleaning supplies etc. I said Beer ! Got that too he replied , came outwith case of Bud and a case of water for us. Just a guy, wanting to due what he could to help . Next time car stopped , guy and gal got out , told buddy he better talk to them, turns out it was reporter and cameraman ,,oh boy here we go i said . well this gal ended up following his story and progress for the next year ,rebuilding and recovery etc . Pretty cool story ran on public TV .
