Depending on where you are in Tx, you're getting rain, rain mixed with sleet and or snow, sleet, snow, or sleet & snow.
We had been watching the weather at the farm and knew this was coming. We got all the animals taken care of on Saturday.
It started sleeting at the farm about 7:00 and wasn't letting up so we packed up and headed back to Dallas about 8:20.
Just west of Mt. Vernon on I-30, about 9:00, it changed to sleet mixed with large flakes of snow which was coming down hard and accumulating.
At Sulfur Springs, it was all snow. Still coming down pretty good and accumulating.
At Greenville it was rain/sleet/snow. By time we got back to Dallas it was rain. Creeks and ditches had lots of water so it had been coming down for a while.
Temp. is now about 32 - 34 and snowing steady and sticking. Cleaned about an inch off the vehicles just a few minutes ago.
Don't know if we'll be going to work in the morning.
Thanks for checking on us. As my Dad (who was from Indiana) would say "there's nothing more dangerous than a Texan on ice".
