Im with you on the Michelins. My truck came with them when I got it new. Put 78,000 on them and they still had tread. I needed tires on my flatbed so I put new ones on the truck and moved the Michelins to it. Just moved the last one to a spare, probably another 10-15,000 on them on the gooseneck.
I've got Firestone Transforce on my truck now, so far I really like them. They seem to be the best of the highway tread tires for off road use.
