I've always seemed to have good luck with Coopers.
That being said, I'm a total and incurable cynic when it comes to tires. My composite experience from 60 years of driving is that my degree of success with tires is inversely proportional to the price I pay.
That opinion began to emerge some 40 years ago when I bought a set of high dollar Firestone tires for the family car. They did nothing but give me fits for six months. They shook, vibrated, were noisy, etc. Nothing ever helped. Then a buddy of mine got a flier in the mail for blems in a brand no one had ever heard of for something like $17 each. I ordered a set, and after having them mounted and balanced the car drove so smooth and quiet it was almost eerie.
