Casey, our church has an aerator gadget in the septic tank. I personally know that it has ran continuously for the last ten years. It is designed for continuous running. An alarm box in the utility room sounds off if it fails. It has konked out twice in those ten years - once due to corrosion of the electrical connection at the motor, and once a failure of the motor itself. Corrosion repair was cheap (fixed it myself), but the motor repair was $90.
