I"ve got a stinky aerator(septic system) that the smell was over bearing. It"s a new system, well 2 and half years old, and the apparently the timer quit working on the aerator motor. I"ve been running the motor continous the last 3 or 4 days and the smell is gone. Question is what"s this gonna do to the motor? It"s 1/3 hp, 4.9 amp, continous duty (but made in China). So should I just let this run, it actually has been doing a better job, but I was wondering about the effect on the electric bill plus the life of the motor. Part of me thinks it"ll be better for the motor not to be kicking on and off, especially in this damp situation. Thoughts??
