Years ago my 1550 Oliver diesel would run fine in the field till the tank was 1/2 full. Drove me huts for a couple months, let it sit for a few minutes and it starts right back up. One day while racking hay it did it twice and I had had enough! Drained the fuel out got a flash light and looked in the tank and found the problem, It was one of the paperboard gaskets out of a gas can lid!!! After an hour of searching for my flexible claw and an hour of trying, I finally got it out. She has run fine ever since then. Amazing what you find in fuel tanks. Bandit
