The only Ford's assembled in India were for the India market or that general vicinity. Ford tractors for North America were assembled at Highland Park until December 1974 and at Romeo until '86-'87 vicinity. Afterwards all utility models were assembled at Basildon UK as they had been for the most of the world previous to that anyhow. The larger tractors (TW) were assembled at Antwerp, Belgium until they were discontinued while their replacement (Genesis) was assembled at the Versatile plant in Winnipeg... The only Escort's tractors that ever made it here were branded Farmtrac I believe...
