That is correct. Was a test engineer at Gehl and worked on the grinders. The cyclone is to trap dust from the blower that pulls vaccum on the mill to keep the dust down. The dust collected falls back down into the tank infeed auger. They"re pretty good machines (well the newer ones are/were). A few things are hard to get to to work on. Have the doctor add a 3rd elbow if you have to work on the infeed auger front bearings without pulling the mill off. Hammers are the same design from 60 years ago so they"re easy to find. Most bearings are common. Keep oil/gear lube in mixer auger gear box (under tank) and keep her greased and INDOORS and if its not already worn out should be good for quite a while.
