I think on the 24 valve they upped the valve adjustment to 150k miles, do a search on yahoo. Change the lift pump. Fass fuel makes a replacement I believe, bd power makes a pump kit as well. If truck is a auto id give it a good flushing and change filter/oil. maybe do a little front end work that seems to be a problem.
