Ebay is a part-owner of CraigsList.
Ebay allows easy global searching and makes money from all sellers. If you try to sell, you get much more exposure to potential buyers. It also protects buyers and sellers to a degree from scams, BS, etc.
CraigsList only has specific regional searching and only makes money from certain types of clients. It's free to most people and full of spammers and scammers.
Since Ebay is part owner of CraigsList, who knows what will happen in the future.
Why not try picking a few regions and list for free on CraigsList, and if you get fed up with the scammers, list later on Ebay.
