James I believe yer right about the Jack Daniels. I haven't drank in 30 years. Doc wanted to give me crutches I said it I had to learn to drive em I'd be back in very soon , so I opted for a cane.
I had 1 bud light Thanksgiving night and remembered why I didn't like the taste of Beer in cold weather and felt a little woozy for a few min. A pony bottle or can is enough for me on a hot day and cold as can be and chug it . tastes good that way.( other than that I nurse it and the warmer taste I can barely handle)
I guess its because dad always kept a case in the back cellar and I did at times tried to sneak one when I was young .. Ugh !! Tasted like a skunk smells.
Some say I drink Ladies drinks , but a good Blackberry brandy and 7 up I can handle for Christmas in moderation of coarse.
I'm glad it wasn't a metal barrel too, bet we wouldn't be looking at those toes.
Funny thing was when I retired I said I'd never where another pare of steel toes all tennies for me
