I had enough with Dish and their bad service several years ago (and they didn't seem to care), so I switched to Direct. I've been so much happier. It is more cash each month, but the channel selection is much better (I REALLY like the RFD channel, too). They will all be interrupted when the weather gets nasty, but the Direct seems to be aimed better and does it way less. Good customer service. Do it.
On a side note, Dish has been calling since asking to have me back (it has been years, so lie). The last time I told them I wasn't coming back because the service was horrible. He says, "Was it the reception or the customer service?" I just said, "YES" and hung up.
