I have a cartridge type oil filter on my Ford 861 tractor and decided to buy a kit to where I could use the Spin on type oil filter. I removed the screw out tap that fits in the block and tried to put the new adapter piece through rhe block and it screws in good for 2 turns and then tightens up to where you can"t even turn it. Has anyone out there had the same problem and will it hurt the block to turn it on into the block. I don"t want to damage anything.
