I have used it to chop corn stalks... the blade "rides up" on the ground, next blade in line chops up the stalks when it "drops down"...makes for one ''ll of a ride though.
I think there are 5-6 stationary blades on this one. For transporting, you pull a lever and the implement rides up on 2 "skis".
I believe it was made by IH, but not sure...I now just disc the corn stalks.
