We've logged it our selfs about every 5-6 years for the last 30 years. We stacked them out front by the road, and the sawmill came and picked them up. allways got top dollar, but it was a lot of work.
This year we went with a Forester. Actually made out better. He gets paid a percentage based on the total BF that He sells. He cruises the woods marking trees. Then does an auction and sells it off to the highest bidder. They pay up front, and all I have to do is sit and watch out the window.. He has to leave a deposit with the forester, then he has to clean up proper when done to get the deposit back.
