If I remember from my Navy days correctly Rope in those sizes are measured by circumference not diameter. So your ropes would be 6" and 12" respectively. I would put them on ebay for so much a foot. I can imagine that bars and resturaunts with a sailing, mining or industrial motif might buy it. Make sure you mention it is old and therefore not reliable for use in rigging or mooring. Just to CYA.
