Haven't done it that way but I have done pickled green tomatoes in the past. I have done dill, bread and butter and sweet plus done hot dill and hot sweet and all turned out well. Throw me an e-mail if you want the recipe for them. They are real good dilled with a jalapeno pepper or 2 in each jar
