I've got to level out some ruts and hoofprints to get ready to lay some grid to enlarge a couple paddocks and just tidy up around feeders throughout the year. Almost bought (and still may) a 6ft back blade but after seeing pics of a landscape rake, thought it may be a better choice. Nearest thing I could find to one here looks a little flimsy and costs just over twice as much as the back blade.
I have several pieces of steel I beam (2x4) and several old harrow fields that I replaced with a new chain harrow. If I just weld up a triangle for the 3PH (with a plate to hold a 5gal bucket full of concrete that I have for a weight) and then weld a 5ft (width of my tractor) piece across the bottom with holes to bolt the harrow spikes, would it serve my purpose?
