We started September 4th on corn and we need one more good day to wrap it up. No beans that will cut yet as very very few in the area are ready. Yields have ranged from very good to very bad but alot more good than bad. I am hearing alot of variation from other guys as well. The corn has been very dry for this time of the year and field conditions have been excellent with firm footing and the corn standing perfect. We are getting rain now so we will have to sit for a couple of days and let it dry out. Looking forward to getting the corn out and getting ready for beans and not have to worry about switching back and forth for a change.
On a lighter note, I caught wrigley hard at work the other day. So, if you are wondering how he spends his days, well, sometimes he guards the calves in the feedlot. Right now he is sleeping on the kitchen floor, he had a busy day!! bill
